Monthly Award Winners

March

Kindergarten students and teachers at the Harrisonville Early Childhood Center were honored at a recent assembly.  

To begin the assembly, kindergarten students recited the Pledge of Allegiance.  

Each month, the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club presents Terrific Citizen awards to students who exemplify the character trait of the month. March’s character trait was empathy and those students named Terrific Citizens include Noland Davis, Shaugh Ford, Avery Saunders, Aubrey Forrest, Dominick Gilmore, Charlotte Nickerson, and Makenzie Miller.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the March assembly, the specials teachers recognized the following students in music: Kara Widner, Jamie Chesher, Zaylen Butler, Ava Jensen, London Sloan, Summer Brown, Carson Rodgers, and Riley Dunn.  Students honored for their work in art were Maverick Bollinger, Eli Sharp, Mattias Berg, Nolan Payne, Alexis Danforth, Alena Chance, Bradley Thornton.  March’s PE awards winners were Brysen Kelleher, Molly Rushly, Logan Sexton, Jabrya Spratt, Conner Chastain, Aubrey Johnson, Levi Smith, and Cooper Litle.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.  The honorees for March were Elliot Stout, Korra Mayse, Reese Cooper, Kammy Downey, Avelyn Hunter, Arya George, and Hyde Smith.

Students were also recognized for achieving benchmark levels in the 1000 Book Club.  Those honorees were Cameron Morrow, Rylie Collins, Kirei White, Miguel Alvarez, Madison Cavendar, Jerzey Hargrave, Bentley Zwarts, Aiden Miller, and Devin Miller.

Students earning perfect attendance for third quarter received a certificate and included Bentley Zwarts, Osiris Zoog, Logan Sexton, Jamie Chesher, Madison Cavender, Liam Cates, Alexis Carter, Adalynn Calhoun, Miguel Alvarez, Brooklyn Cecil, Alena Chance, Jaxon Ritter, Leo Teeter, Carson Rodgers, Isabelle Obermiller, Cody Mannino, Sonni Jackson, Colton Huston, Riley Dunn, Hadyn Hausdorf, Drake Dubray, and Rylie Collins.

February

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the February assembly, Specials teachers Amanda Norman and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Kirei White, Libby Young, Mila Franklin, Ruby Rose, SoraLynn Castro, Autumn Brown, McKenna Allen, and Abigail Coltrin.  Students honored for their work in art were Gracie Erwin, Devin Miller, Landon Hessenflow, Molly Magoffin, Charles Anderson, Drake Dubray, Kaycee Gumm, and Brooklyn Cecil.  February’s PE awards winners were Aiden Miller, Aubrey Forest, Elijah Carver, Carson Rodgers, Dylan Ivy, Gabriel Peek, Sophia Schroeder, and Liam Cates.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.  The honorees for February were Judson Meeks, Trenton Lindsay, Brantley Rusk, Zoe Henderson, Madilynn Feece, Cole Violett, Emerson Mathews, and Paityn Waller.

 

January

January’s character trait was honesty and those students named Terrific Citizens include Tanner Harper, Sonni Jackson, Johnny Moylan, Aubrey Greife, Leo Teeter, and Heidi McCabe.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the January assembly, Specials teachers Amanda Norman and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Layla Watters, Lydia Vaughn, McKenzie Soderstrom, Jennicah Wetzel, Rucker Noell, Oakley Gibbens, Charlotte Nickerson, and Kenzie Gillette.  Students honored for their work in art were Rainah Sharp, Hadyn Hausdorf, James Williams, Delaney Ash, Trinati Peek, Brynlee Terwilliger, and Kaige Cantrell.  January’s PE awards winners were Madison Cavender, Liam Kinney, Gavyn Gutjahr, Leylah Johnston, Jaxon Ritter, Makenzie Miller, and Tyler Mettler.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.  The honorees for January were Clay Wolf, Brandon Gott, Carter Bohnert, Cody Mannino and Alena Chance.

Also honored were students earning perfect attendance for second quarter.  Those recognized included Alena Chance, Brody Monrean, Kayleigh Shelton, Isabelle Obermiller, Quin Shoaf, Leo Teeter, James Williams, Osiris Zoog, Logan Sexton, Autumn Brown, Summer Brown, Adalynn Calhoun, Alexis Carter, Abigail Coltrin, Oakley Gibbens, Layla Gray, Kaycee Gumm, Peyton Marshall, Tyler Mettler and Paisley Caskey.

Finally, students were recognized for their reading achievements through the 1000 Book Club.  Kindergarten students who have read 250 books through the program received water bottles and included Bentley Zwarts, Autumn Brown, Kara Widner, Summer Brown, Liam Kinney, Colton Huston, Alena Chance and Kirei White.  Madelyn Malone received a t-shirt for hitting the 500 book mark and Drake Dubray earned a string backpack for 750 books.

 

November

November’s character trait was self control and those students named Terrific Citizens include Rylie Collins, Dede Klinger, Carson Rodgers, Riley Dunn, Brooklyn Cecil, Mattias Berg, Klein Sleyster, Paisley Caskey, and Blakely Kanoy.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the November assembly, Specials teachers Amanda Norman and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Naomi Coffelt, Cameron Morrow, Madilynn Feece, Sonni Jackson, Scarlett Griffin, Isabelle Obermiller, Maci Burnett, and Avelyn Hunter.  Students honored for their work in art were Mila Franklin, Zoe Henderson, Tanner Harper, Quin Shoaf, Zoey Matthews, Judson Meeks, and Griffin Tyler.  November’s PE awards winners were Madalynn Alvarez, Cole Violett, Bentley Zwarts, Bentlee Hall, Adalynn Calhoun, Osiris Zoog, London Sloan,  and Parker Webber,

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the September assembly, Specials teachers Amanda Norman and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Kammy Downey, Noland Davis, Jasmyn Potter, Bailey Deardorff, Gabriel Peek, Lindsey Wilson, and Haddie Stephens.  Students honored for their work in art were Aislyn Boman, Layla Gray, Isabella Cunningham, Leslie Walker, Jerzy Hargrave, Rylee Sage, Madelyn Malone, and Keira Jones.  September’s PE awards winners were Lincoln Sculthorpe, Kara Widner, Levi Wyrick, Reese Cooper, Hyde Smith, Colton Huston, Brantley Rusk, and Paityn Waller.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the October assembly, Specials teachers Amanda Norman and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Peyton Marshall, Paisley Caskey, Leo Teeter, Pyper Trussell, Aubrey Greife, Ren Hill, Lucas Hudson, and Heidi McCabe.  Students honored for their work in art were Dominick Gilmore, Miguel Alvarez, Elliott Stout, Karli Klaussen, Leylah Johnston, Carter Bohnert, Korra Mayse, and Hyde Smith.  October’s PE awards winners were Zaylen Butler, Kayleigh Shelton, Emerson Mathews, Keller Williams, Jackson Erwin, Brody Monrean, Alexis Carter, and SoraLynn Castro.
