Monthly Award Winners

November
Kindergarten students and teachers at the Harrisonville Early Childhood Center were honored at a recent assembly.  

To begin the assembly, kindergarten students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and their school mission statement.

Each month, the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club presents Terrific Citizen awards to students who exemplify the character trait of the month. November’s character trait was self control and those students named Terrific Citizens include Daren Bormann, Olivia Garrett-Reynolds, Alivia Smith, Aurora Darling, Gus Carter, Aubrey Burkhart, and Kenna Nutter.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the November assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music:  Trystan Saylor-Lundeen, Liam Dickerson, Julyan Sidwell, Destiny Bedford, Rylan Gilkey, Xayne Lindsey, and Kayson Enos.  Students honored for their work in art were  Zander Bascue, Cora Garrison, Elijah Fife, Harper Gilmore, Ali Scott, Addyson Rinker, Jayden Claspill, and Mason Roberts. November’s PE awards winners were Paisley Smith, Marlee Schroeder, Archer Klein, Emilio Gutierrez-Jones, Cecil Lynn, Ethan Wilson, Aleah Raney, and Gwyneth Metzger.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.  The honorees for November were Max Mitchell, Tyson Klinge, Maise Schnelle, Marshall Ohler, Amise Herriman, Joslin Melgoza, and Chase Mannino.

In addition, Mrs. Fischer recognized kindergarten student Case Caldwell for achieving the 750 level of the 1,000 Book Club.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the October assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music:  Avery Eason, Landon Hessenflow, Kynzlee Smith, Bentlee Tiedeman, Harper Branham, Rosebell Parariso, Brenton Barker and Maggie Peterman.  Students honored for their work in art were  Piper Becchina, Taylor Crouch, Kylee Gumm, Ben Wiseman, Wade Reed, Mya Franklin, Kage Williams, and Aubrey Stone. October’s PE awards winners were Riley Young, Chloe Cronin, Paige Kincaide, Kace Caldwell, Aurora Darling, Livy Conran, Lizzy Calvin, Lucas Atchison

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.  The honorees for October were Bryson Barnes, Naeveah Rose, Presleigh Due, Nella Chamberlain, Zayden Davis, Christian Kohlman, Damian Kinsley, and Breana Smith.

In addition, those students earning perfect attendance for first quarter were honored.  They were Kyleigh Williams, Kayson Enos, Addisyn Goddard, Avery Eason, Phoenix Kauffman, Zander Bascue, Rachel Stegner, Presleigh Due, Marley McCullough, Olivia Garrett-Reynolds, Harper Gilmore, Liam Dickerson, Jeremiah McKernan, Kynzlee Smith, Ainsley Obermiller, Blakely Milam, Kohen Mathis, Joslin Melgoza, and Brenton Barker.

September’s character trait was respect and those students named Terrific Citizens include Phoenix Kauffman, Elias Larcom, Kennedee Hartsell, Gracelynn Davidson, Kinsley Smith, Anne Marie Hetherington, Ty Jackson, and Arabella Mitchell.  The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for September was building paraprofessional Stacy Billings.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes.  At the March assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music:  Charlotte Whaley, Jaymie Croft, Kohen Mathis, Amari Hoskins, Nella Chamberlain, Myra Guthridge, Wyatt Guentert, and Logan Wiseman.  Students honored for their work in art were  Alana Drake, Roczen McCune, Jackson Anderson, Rachel Stegner, Rayne Weathers, Isabella Martin, Riley Speir, and Hudson Kanenbley. September’s PE awards winners were Annabella Crook, Madox Shanks, Devin Cameron, Alivia Quezada, Dexter Kinsley, Skylar Burger, Logan Fugate, and Ruthie Carver.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville.  The honorees for September were Ainsley Obermiller, Omar Carrete, Zayd Zaroor, Justin Claiborn, Landon Choate, Tristian Jones, Avery Barker, and Kyleigh Williams.

In addition, the Harrisonville PTO recognized the top seller at ECC in the recent trash bag fundraiser.  Kindergartener Rylan Gilkey received a $50 gift card from Hawthorn Bank which was presented by bank representative Ruben Carter.
