Monthly Award Winners

March
Kindergarten students and teachers at the Harrisonville Early Childhood Center were honored at a recent assembly.
To begin the assembly, kindergarten students recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Each month, the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club presents Terrific Citizen awards to students who exemplify the character trait of the month. March’s character trait was empathy and those students named Terrific Citizens include Alivia Giesbrecht, Ally Schroeder, Zoie Bailey, Blake Anderson, Lucas Marcusson, Garrin Wright, Arianna Carrete, and Brooklyn Venchus. The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for March was kindergarten teacher Brooke Dubray.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes. At the March assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Conner Peterman, Zeta Masden, Natalie Bell, Tristin Freelen, Brantley Cleveland, Macie Cummins, Kaden Franklin, and Chrishell Eggers. Students honored for their work in art were Annie Wolff, Sawyer Warner, Aiden McCluskey, Jaylynn Lindsay, Leo Jiang, Mallory Myler, Abigail Keller, and Trever Atkinson. March’s PE awards winners were Elijah Fansler, Lillian Yoss, Kenton Nutter, Andrew Pyles, Jaycee Saling, Lexi Cowan, Clayton Wood, and Zavier Aker-Haynie.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville. The honorees for March were Chloe Keim, Tristan George, Arthur Curry, Jorden Lakey, Broddy Fletcher, Addyson Fisher, and Elizabeth Naylor.

Also at the March assembly, students who earned perfect attendance for third quarter were recognized. They were Leo Jiang, Lanie Hatman, Elijah Fansler, Alicesyn Greer, Arthur Curry, Aiden Coltrin, Isaac Tews, Lexi Martin, Anthony Thompson, Veronica Villa, and Mason Bunger.
 
February

February’s character trait was kindness and those students named Terrific Citizens include Bentley Calvin, Lexi Martin, Kevin Holzer, Bella Huhs, Adam Danforth, Raymond Sharp, Jared Lezer, and Alicesyn Greer. The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for February was kindergarten teacher Jamie Droege.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes. At the February assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Makyah Wetzel, Brenden Stewart, Summer Ford, Riley Julien, Braden Taylor, Lydia Perretti, Landon Willour, Lucas Grah, and Kennedy McNeal. Students honored for their work in art were Matthew Kinney, Frankie Bennett, Monroe Mynatt, Evan Wright, Xander Anderson, and Sophie Caulk. February’s PE awards winners were Hoyt Smith, Cayden Gipson, Gabe Schroeder, Alexa Shelton, Hunter Harralston, Jayden Becerril, Kylea Dobnikar, and Addison King.

January

January’s character trait was honesty and those students named Terrific Citizens include Bedford Duren, Andrew Forbes, Jackson Stallman, Isabella Adams, Blaire Cecil, Chrishell Eggers, Alex Lindsay, and Emma Beckemeier. The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for January was kindergarten teacher Jennifer Gunderson.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes. At the January assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music:Danyelle Brewster, Brooklyn Johnson, Ayden Bennett, Addyson Saunders, Liam Hansen, Nick Rogers, and Laila Bennett. Students honored for their work in art were Cheyenne Hayes, Mason Peterson, Mason Bunger, Maggie Jo Spears, John Cave, Daemien McNulty, Arthur Curry, and Cooper Wiggs. January’s PE awards winners were Samara Gonzalez, Lyla Knox, Conner McCracken, Ayden Crawford, Leighton Koetting, Ruben Alvarez, Avery Aloisio, and Sadie Speer.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville. The honorees for January were Wyatt Elifrits, Aiden Coltrin, David Matthews, Aiden Lopez, Anthony Thompson, Layla Russell, and Briar Boyer.

In addition, students who earned Perfect Attendance for second quarter were honored.

Finally, library media specialist Jodie Fischer recognized students who met goals for the 1,000 Book Club. Those honored for reading 250 books were Niyah Zaroor, Connor Kinney, Ethan Bentley, Aiden Coltrin, Ruben Alvarez, Isaac Tews, and Garrin Wright. Annabelle Wolff was recognized for reading 500 books and two students - Riley Julien and Morgan Obermiller - completed the program with 1,000 books read.
 
November

November’s character trait was self control and those students named Terrific Citizens include Abigail Keller, Chloe Keim, David Matthews, Santiago Diez, Sawyer Warner, Jaxon Magoffin, Evan Wright, and Alexa Shelton. The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for November was paraprofessional Tammie Parris.

At the November assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Wyatt Gaines, Mallory Myler, Maddox McGhee, Aiden Crawford-Dearston, Layla Russell, Alivia Giesbrecht, Beka Siegenthaler, and Addie Knox. Students honored for their work in art were Aiden Cooksey, Jackson Stallman, Zavier Aker-Haynie, Iris Snead, Lexi Cowan, Isaac Blankenship, and Zeta Masden. November’s PE awards winners were Zoie Bailey, Bedford Duren, Preston Neal, Sofia Taylor, Charleigh Wilson, Matthew Kinney, and Savannah Helt.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville. The honorees for November were Grant Shoemaker, Trever Atkinson, Blake Anderson, Kenton Nutter, Brady Cochran, Alex Bollinger, and Xander Bachman.

October’s character trait was responsibility and those students named Terrific Citizens include Trent Ewbanks, Brantley Cleveland, Kylan Allen, Clayton Wood, Natalie Bell, Gabe Schroeder, Annie Wolff, and David Melzer. The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for October was Karen Roberts.

In addition to the Terrific Citizens, students are also recognized for their work and behavior in music, art, and physical education classes. At the October assembly, Specials teachers Jodi Fischer and Kristin Malone recognized the following students in music: Morgan Obermiller, Ethan Bentley, Santiago Diez, Brenya Rinehart, Ally Schroeder, Addyson Fisher, Veronica Villa, and Thaddeus DeVenney. Students honored for their work in art were Mariah Coffey, Raelyn Hubbard, Adaline Miller, Conner Peterman, Cedrick Dewberry, Conner Kinney, and Jaycee Saling. Octcober’s PE awards winners were Brooklyn Venchus, Arianna Carrete, Erin Woolery, Julian Henriquez, Farrah Morgan, Remmi Gillaspie, and Carsen Bales.

The Mathematician of the Month Award is sponsored by Community Bank of Harrisonville. The honorees for October were Rachel Tilghman, Riley Julien, Brenden Stewart, Lillea Boston, Liam McMahon, Isaac Tews, Dakota Trusty, and Lanie Hatman.

The Harrisonville PTO also recognized the top participant in their annual trash bag fundraiser - Alex Bollinger.

The students received a certificate and a Terrific Citizen t-shirt. The Staff Terrific Citizens for September was Lauren Peterson.

Students honored for their work in art were David Melzer, Samara Gonzalez, Deklan Guthridge, Logan Patel, Kevin Holzer, Bella Huhs, and Emilee Burkitt.. September’s PE awards winners were Isabella Adams Jorden Lakey, Emma Beckemeier, Jared Lezer, Malia Rinker, Franklin Bennett, Alex Bollinger, and Lexi Martin.
