Monthly Award Winners

February
McEowen Elementary students were recently honored at a monthly assembly on Friday, Feb. 28.  The school hosts a monthly Positive Action Assembly to recognize student accomplishments.  

To begin the assembly, fifth grader Levi Vanover played the National Anthem on the ukulele.

The February Students of the Month were Emma Reece, Maria Rodriguez, Lucas Turner, and Domonick Brandes.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  February’s trait was forgiving and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Ever Loeffel, Reece Stolte, Derick Mendoza, Kooper Baker, Braydon Truninger, Julianna Blowers, Elliott Stone, Layla Geiger, Frankie Bennett, Emery Gray, Reece Stolte, Payton Everhart, Kloie Keith, Michaela Becker, Lincoln Lawson, Ralina Hensley-Hunter, and Khloe Nicholson.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those February honorees in writing were Hunter Jones, Emma James, Dany Droege, Julianna Amann, Julia Davis, Arabella Mckinley, Sofia Jones, Makenna Trobaugh, Vanessa West, Brody Ledington, Jaxson Larcom, Chase Middlemas, Duncan Boyd, Laryssa Motzcus, and Bella Horan.  The honorees in math were Ally Cook, Sophia Branham, Brodie McNeal, and Jayden Shoaf, Marco Green, Byron Smith, Isaac Moore, Olivia Gurrola, Jackson Canaday, Kaleigh Siebert, Bella McClendon, Nathan Baker, Maddox Elgin, and Nicole Wiggs.

A new award is the PE award and two students from each grade will receive this award each month.  The February winners were Bryer Witherspoon, Taylor Hollingsworth, Andi Ingrassia, and Alijah Davis.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club recognizes McEowen students with the Service Above Self Award.  Maddox Elgin was the February recipient.

 McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member. Fifth grade teacher Lorie Birchmeier was honored as the February recipient.

January
McEowen Elementary students were recently honored at a monthly assembly on Friday, January 30.  The school hosts a monthly Positive Action Assembly to recognize student accomplishments.  

To begin the assembly, students were treated to a performance by some of the cast members from the recent Harrisonville High School production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The January Students of the Month were Sydney Thresher, Bethany Sharp, Andrew Taylor, Jaxsyn Little, and Harmony Samuelson.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  January’s trait was integrity and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were McKenzie Ruth, Klyde Webb, Flor Lomeli, Hailey Brown, Zoey Ruff, Julianna Blowers, Elliott Stone, Layla Geiger, Frankie Bennett, Emery Gray, Reece Stolte, London Wooten, Kennedy Middleton, Forrest Thurman, Layson Chastain, Ezra Green, and Lucas Turner

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those January honorees in writing were Kallie Stout, Brylee Jackson, Camara Mitchell, Raena Barnes, Julianna Aman, Emery Gray, Lily Bunger, Hunter White, Caroline Price, Maddie Gentry, Mason Ryberg, Aytilaradee Khieu, Brylynn Billings, Jillian Horsey, Elizabeth Stevens, and Kaelyn Gunn.  The honorees in math were Vander Schoenemann, Angela Derner, Joey Roepke, Olivia Wolfe, Adie Comegys, Emma Deshazer, Kylie Pelsor, Brayden Kanebley, Byron Smith, Caleb Spurgeon, Trinity Atchley, Emily Munoz Evans, Peyton Weaver, Hero McCoy, and Justin Martinez.

A new award is the PE award and two students from each grade will receive this award each month.  The January winners were Bailey Holland, Stryker Gilmore, Adleigh Wells, and Klyde Webb.

November

To begin the assembly, students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and fifth graders Bethany Sharp and Jocelyn Courter played the National Anthem on the recorders.

The November Students of the Month were Hunter Winchel, Elizabeth Gillespie, Chase Middlemas, and Sicily Carter.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  November’s trait was respect and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Adrian Carranza, Brody Lawson, Alijah Davis, Adrianna Chamberlain, Ethan Robling, Trenton Heider, Preslee Morris, Kylee Fergerson, Chloe Collins, LJ Ferguson, Domonick Brandes, Bella Mclendon, Izzy Bylina, Chloe Wooten, Mary Swaggerty, and Christian Crook.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those November honorees in writing were Jayton Chrostowski, Jack Wright, Jackson Alvarez, Maria Rodriguez, Emma Reece, Shayanne Peyton, Michelle Brown, Hailey Hetrick, Alivia Bullock, Samantha Claibourne, Josie Lackey, Peyton Armstrong, London Wooten, Justin Martinez, and Kaydence Gamphor.  The honorees in math were Jaxton Chrostowski, Flor Lomeli, Ally Cook, Maddie Eggers, Austin Knight, Adelaide Wolfe, Phoenix Tomlin, Madi Tye, Maddox Johnson, Austin Hurt, Adleigh Wells, Stryker Gilmore, Conner Jacques, Sydney Thresher, Kourtnee Mallatt, and Dakota Lackey.

October

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  October’s trait was empathy and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Brody Youngblood, Chloe Herrell, Gavin Tate, Hunter White, Emma Allee, Carter Cole, Noah Covey, Jack Downard, Coby Lacy, Alivia Vaughn, Molly Maylan, Willa Kirschner, Ashlynn Adams, Emma Reece, and Elise Teeter.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those October honorees in writing were Riley Cooper, Angela Derner, Lilly N Miller, Alijah Davis, Nicholas Kirkemo, Alex Richardson, Phoenix Tomlin, Spencer Truman, Elizabeth Gillespie, Jocelyn Courter, Eogan Deatherage, Lana Smith, Taylor Hollingsworth, Rob Quezada, Rainey Hall, and Trenton Summer.  The honorees in math were Addison Corniels, Gabby Hankins, Molly Melzer, Bentley Mitchell, Hayden Cave, Tanner Carter, Rylie Ingrassia, Lucas Larcom, Greenlee Cameron, Elissa Busby, Gaida Siems, Peyton Kincaide, Adah Snyder, Seriah Lindsey, and Harmony Samuelson.

A new award is the PE award and two students from each grade will receive this award each month.  The October winners were Isabella Johnson, Coby Meinhardt, Chloe Edwards, and Lucas Turner.

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Paraprofessional Audrey Mayberry was honored as the October recipient.

 

September

The September Students of the Month were Forrest Thurman, Kaydence Gamphor. Hailey Brown, and Briston Wood.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  September’s trait was “thoughtful” and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Hadley Schrock, Tanner Carter, Logan Crespo, Caleb Malone, Bryer Witherspoon, Eli Torres, Logan McElwain, Eboni Crust, Brylynn Billings, Conner Jaques, Landen Gaskins,  Elizabeth Gillespie, Hunter Jones, Molly Melzer, Maddie Eggers, Reese Seabolt, and Makenna Trobaugh.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those September honorees for writing were Chloe Rouse, Peyton Weaver, Ezra Green, Hailey Mercer, Amara Carver, Morgan Lalman, Elliott Stone, Salvador Lara, Sophia Branham, John Derner, Kierston Wilson, Nicole Mauzey, Lyra Johnson, Marissa Hayes, Addison Corniels, and Gabby Hankins.

The math honorees were Ethan Robling, Kaybren Clark-Long, Alexis Ogden, Hunter White, Mikey Wilson, Johnathan Pieratt, Andrew Holloway, Jaxsyn Little, Sadie Love, Zoe Bascue, Braydon Truninger, Robbie Livengood, Caden Banks, Jackson Alverez, and Levi Vanover.

A new award is the PE award and two students from each grade will receive this award each month.  The September honorees were Christian Crook, Mary Swaggerty, Blayne Martin, and Lyra Johnson.
