HHS Students of the Month

April

Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for April.  Seniors Emma Parker and Collin Caldwell were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.  

Parker is the daughter of Adam and Amy Parker..

Her school activities include National Honor Society, Key Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Peer Helpers, and soccer.

She is the NHS treasurer, Key Club secretary, and SADD vice president of activities.

Her hobbies include walking her dog and hanging with her friends.

After graduation, Parker plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University and major in either elementary education or criminal justice.

Caldwell is the son of Tami Caldwell and Mike Caldwell.

His school activities include Music Makers.

HIs hobbies include singing, video games, concerts (he’s seen 219 artists) and art.

Caldwell plans to attend a two-year community college using his A+ scholarship then transferring to the University of Central Missouri to major in graphic design and minor in business.

The HHS Students of the Month are selected on the basis of character, citizenship, and academics.

March

Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for March.  Seniors Kelsey Campbell and Jaydn Wilson were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.  

Campbell is the daughter of Jim and Becky Campbell.

Her school activities include Student Council, SADD, National Honor Society, Peer Helpers, Mercernaries, Freshman Mentoring, AV Club and Wildcat Network.

Outside of school, she’s a shift manager at Papa Murphy’s.

Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling and baking.

After graduation, Campbell plans to attend Missouri State University to major in psychology.

Wilson is the son of LaKesha Wilson.

His school activities include show choir, football, basketball, track, SADD, and DECA.  He was a football captain and part of the leadership group in football. He also attended the Missouri Leadership Seminar.

His hobbies include spending time with family and friends, playing video games and playing sports, and singing.

Wilson plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University to major in sports medicine.

February 2019

Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for February.  Seniors Jill Bachman and Gage Weber were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.

Bachman is the daughter of Todd and Lynn Bachman.

Her school activities include band, jazz band, soccer, and Family, Career & Community Leaders of America.

She has been the drum major for the Royal Regiment for two years.

Her hobbies include baking and spending time with her three dogs.

After graduation, Bachman plans to attend college to major in speech language pathology.

Weber is the son of Jeff and Jauna Weber.

His school activities include National Honor Society, Student Council, wrestling, and peer helpers. He is a wrestling team captain.

Outside of school, he is involved in Young Life Manpaigners.  He enjoys dirt bike racing, hunting, and working on cars and motorcycles.

Weber plans to attend State Technical College in Linn, Missouri to major in drafting and design engineering technology.

January 2019

Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for January.  Seniors Grace McLaughlin and Ethan Kohl were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.  

McLaughlin is the daughter of April McLaughlin.

Her school activities include Silver Sensations dance team, Music Makers, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Peer Helpers, DECA, National Technical Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Wildcat Network.

She is the dance team captain, the show choir dance captain, and the public relations officer for DECA.

Her hobbies include playing photography/videography, traveling and exploring new places.

After graduation, McLaughlin plans to attend a four-year out-of-state university.

Kohl is the son of Jake and Paula Kohl.

His school activities include soccer, Academics Club, FFA, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society.  He serves as president of FFA.

Outside of school, his hobbies include soccer, building computers, and reading.  He has also worked as a soccer referee for six years.

Kohl plans to attend Judson University and pursue a bachelor’s degree, then master’s degree in Architectural Design.

December 2018

Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for December.  Seniors Bailey Kliewer and Zachary Chaney were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.  

Kliewer is the daughter of Brian and Rebecca Kliewer.

Her school activities include basketball, tennis, and track.  She has been a captain on the basketball team for two years.

Her hobbies include playing AAU basketball, tennis, reading, and her horse.

After graduation, Kliewer plans to play basketball at Rogers State University and study sport management.

Chaney is the son of Larry and Melissa Chaney.

His school activities include football and baseball.  He has been in the top 15% of his class and on the Principals Honor Roll throughout high school.  He’s also earned conference all-academic awards in baseball and football.

Outside of school, he works as a crew trainer at B&B Theatres and is a representative for Students in Government.

His hobbies include sports and writing.

Chaney plans to attend the University of Central Missouri and major in psychology.  Then, go on to earn a master’s and doctorate for a career in forensic psychology.

November 2018

Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for November.  Seniors Briseida Chavez and Peyton Holden were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.  

Chavez is the daughter of Roberto and Eugenia Chavez.

Her school activities include Key Club, National Honor Society, College Ambassadors, Student Council, Peer Helpers and Campaigners.

She serves as secretary of Key Club and served as president last year.

Her hobbies include doing community service, playing board games with her siblings, and reading.

After graduation, Chavez plans to get a degree in nursing from an undecided college.

Peyton Holden  is the son of Shaun and Susan Holden.

His school activities include National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Drama Club, Music Makers, Peer Helpers and the golf team.

He is the president of Drama Club and show choir, a member of the FCA leadership team, and the golf team captain.

Holden has been selected for the All-State choir and All-State show choir twice and is a three-time All-Conference and All-District golfer.

His hobbies include golfing, hanging out with friends, singing, and playing guitar.

Holden plays to attend a four-year university to major in Civil Engineering and pursue a career in golf.

October 2018
Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for October  Seniors Peyton Zaring and Ayllip Khieu were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.  

Zaring is the daughter of Michael and Julie Zaring.

Her school activities include Fellowship of Christian Athletes, DECA, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Music Makers.  She is also a member of the soccer and golf teams.

She serves as the DECA and senior class president and is a member of the FCA leadership team.

Her hobbies include travel, playing soccer, and being involved in her church.

After graduation, Zaring plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University to major in christian studies and also German to pursue a career in ministry.

Ayllip Khieu is the son of Ty Khieu and Dalin Nguon.

His school activities include Student Council, Academic Club, robotics, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Key Club, Music Makers, soccer, tennis, and Future Business Leaders of America.

He is the student body, Academic Club and FBLA president, as well as captain of the robotics team.

His hobbies include soccer, tennis, and listening to music.

Khieu plans to attend a four-year university to study medicine and get a doctorate, cure diseases, and save the world.

September 2018
Harrisonville High School has recently announced the students of the month for September  Seniors Lauren Lasure and Kayson Roe were selected by the faculty to receive this honor.

Lasure is the daughter of Leland and Karen Lasure.

Her school activities include Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

Outside of school, she is involved with her youth group and Campaigners.  She also worked at the Harrisonville Community Center day camp.

She enjoys reading, cooking, and volunteering.

After graduation, Lasure plans to take advantage of her A+ monies by attending Longview, then transfer to the University of Central Missouri to study elementary education.

Kayson Roe is the son of Andy and Sherry Roe.

His school activities include football.  He served on Student Council one year and on the football leadership council for a year.

His hobbies include football, lifting weights, reading, video games, and spending time with his family and his two dogs.

Roe plans to attend college to earn a medical degree.
