Congratulations to our monthly Positive Action Assembly Winners!

April

McEowen Elementary students were recently honored at a monthly assembly on Friday, April 27.  The school hosts a monthly Positive Action Assembly to recognize student accomplishments.

To begin the assembly, students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and students Abbey Coffey and Trevor Darling played the National Anthem on the recorder.

The April  Students of the Month were Hailey Hetrick, Jayton Chrostowski, Gabby Vaughn and Logan Boyle.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  April’s trait was caring and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Brezlynn Jones, Shiloh Barnes, Jack Hernandez, Amelia Thoms, Krystal Hegendeffer, Alanna Frost, Maria Rodriguez, Kenadie Percival, Lily Feece, Kylee Fergerson, Preslee Morris, Klyde Webb, Olivia Casto, Lucas Turner, and Cayden Bohnert.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those April honorees for math were Walker Kiem, Abbey Coffey, Garrett Parris, Robbie Livengood, Delanie Cooper, Emily Mercer, Dalton Leimkueler,  Skylor Pelsor, Derick Mendoza, Molly Melzer, Clara Cornell, Tori Baker, Kierston Wilson, and Jaxton Chrostowski.

Those honored in writing were Nevaeh Griefe, Logan Boyle, Cole Wood, Joshua Triggs;, Maddox Johnston, Kooper Breshears, Lexi Quinley, Haylie Forrest, Gavin Shockley, Makenna Trobaugh, Julianna Blowers, Ledgend Barker, Michelle Brown, John Pyles, and Mia Kenagy.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club recognizes McEowen students with the Service Above Self Award.  Laura Vaughn was the April recipient.

 McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Title I math teacher Wendy Courter was honored as the April recipient.

 

March

Emma Allee, Layne Cleveland, Memo Ramirez, and Elizabeth Pruett.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.


Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  March’s trait was impeccable and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Raegan Smith, Logan Boyle, Justin Skiles, Ava Kelly, Mia Schnelle, Gavin Shockley, Isaac Lake, Zaylee Lindsey, Haylie Forrest, Cadence Griffin, Mark Enkey, Jocelyn Courter, Madisyn Tye, Elizabeth Gillespie, and John Derner.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those March honorees for writing were Annie Rhoney, Jacob Leek, Hunter Milam, Braydon Truninger, CJ Copeland, Jonathan McCubbin, Katie Simmers, Preslee Morris, Gabby Hankins, Alijah Davis, Taylor Kanoy, Maddie Eggers, and Brylee Jackson.

February

The February Students of the Month were Sophia Branham, Jacob Bellamy, Amy Tabora-Diaz, and Bryson Cecil.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  February’s trait was friendly and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Mahala Mayse, Jared Davidson, Trevor Jackson, Beau Huebner, Presley Feeback, Chloe Edwards, Eden Thayer, Hunter Kreeger, Skylar Pelsor, Gavon Thompson, Lillie Miller, Lukas McCammon, Bailey Holland, Lilli Dale, Raena Barnes, and Caleb Spurgeon.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those February honorees in writing were Ryder Schenker, Kenzie Mastin, Mia Jackson, Arista Zieber, Aaden Lerda, Darby Getz, Michael Wilson, Jaxon Combs, Serenity Getty, Julianna Amann, Jaxson Sleyster, Noah Covey, Joseph Miller, Quinn Julien, Jaxon Combs, Claire Morrow, and Mia Schnelle.

January

The January Students of the Month were Alijah Davis, Victoria Baker, Chloe Willet, and Austin Eng.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  January’s trait was influential and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Makenna Trobaugh, Sophia Branham, Brodie McNeal, Adrianna Chamberlain, Maddie Eggers, Hailey Heterick, Levi Vanover, Emily Evans, Elizabeth Pruett, Shelbie Anderson, Darby Getz, Danica Ritter, Cole Wood, Charlee Wylde, and Mia Kenagy.

During a special presentation at the assembly, McEowen fifth grader Sarah Jones was presented a certification of appreciation from American Legion Post 598 for her volunteerism earlier this year with the assistance of a fundraiser they were hosting.  

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Teacher Missy Eddleman was honored as the January recipient. 

 

November

The November Students of the Month were Chasity Black, Ethan Stone, Collyn Gutjahr, and Olivia Wolfe.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  November’s trait was respectful and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Olivia Nash, Zaylee  Lindsey, Haylee Dooley, Kenzie Mastin, Carter Sculthorpe, Daniel Anderson, Jonathan McCubbin, CJ Copeland, Ethan Probasco, Andrew Taylor, Isabella Johnson, Kevin Wyrick, Emma Allee, Blayne Martin, and Kaylyn Davis.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those November honorees in writing were Olivia Castos, Isabella Marshall, Jayden Shoaf, Maria Rodriguez, Cheyenne Jones, Hailey Hetrick, Hannah Davis, Lucas Larcom, Anna Tews, Memo Ramirez, Maddy Hubbard, Selena Ibarra-Feugate, Emily Mercer, Trevor Darling, and Madison Mitchell.

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  School nurse Jace Hillbrant was honored as the November recipient.

 

September

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  September’s trait was “thoughtful” and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Gabby Vaughn, Kaylyn Davis, Isaac Moore, Bruce Mayo, Jolie Lightcap, Amy Tabora-Diaz, Julianna Blowers, Lanie Martin, Kierston Wilson, Mia Jackson, Lily Speir, Jacob Leek, Aiden Wray, Ben Mahurin, Reagan Smith, and Joseph Miller.
