Congratulations to our monthly Positive Action Assembly Winners!

January

McEowen Elementary students were recently honored at a monthly assembly on Friday, January 25.  The school hosts a monthly Positive Action Assembly to recognize student accomplishments.

To begin the assembly, students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and students Case Sage and Micah Ketter played the National Anthem on the recorders.

The January Students of the Month were Alijah Davis, Victoria Baker, Chloe Willet, and Austin Eng.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  January’s trait was influential and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Makenna Trobaugh, Sophia Branham, Brodie McNeal, Adrianna Chamberlain, Maddie Eggers, Hailey Heterick, Levi Vanover, Emily Evans, Elizabeth Pruett, Shelbie Anderson, Darby Getz, Danica Ritter, Cole Wood, Charlee Wylde, and Mia Kenagy.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those January honorees for writing were Lindsy Barnes, Dany Droege, Lyra Johnson, Trenton Heider, Kate Barker, Conner Peeples, Xavier Cunningham, Hayden Cave, Hunter Jones, Jaxon Canaday, Isaac Lake, Abbey Coffey, Cole Purtle, Sarah Torres, and Case Sage.

The math honorees were Tanner Carter, Riley Cooper, Camera Mitchell, John Derner, Spencer Truman, Deegan Beachner, Austin Hurt, Bethany Sharp, Mia Schnelle, Brianna Priebe, Gavin Scheib, Jacob Leek, Anessa Brown, Haley Dooley, Micah Ketter, and Keller Johnson.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club recognizes McEowen students with the Service Above Self Award.  Shelbie Anderson was the January recipient.

During a special presentation at the assembly, McEowen fifth grader Sarah Jones was presented a certification of appreciation from American Legion Post 598 for her volunteerism earlier this year with the assistance of a fundraiser they were hosting.  

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Teacher Missy Eddleman was honored as the January recipient. 

 

November

To begin the assembly, students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and students Lily Feece and Conner Peeples played the National Anthem on the recorders.

The November Students of the Month were Chasity Black, Ethan Stone, Collyn Gutjahr, and Olivia Wolfe.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  November’s trait was respectful and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Olivia Nash, Zaylee  Lindsey, Haylee Dooley, Kenzie Mastin, Carter Sculthorpe, Daniel Anderson, Jonathan McCubbin, CJ Copeland, Ethan Probasco, Andrew Taylor, Isabella Johnson, Kevin Wyrick, Emma Allee, Blayne Martin, and Kaylyn Davis.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those November honorees in writing were Olivia Castos, Isabella Marshall, Jayden Shoaf, Maria Rodriguez, Cheyenne Jones, Hailey Hetrick, Hannah Davis, Lucas Larcom, Anna Tews, Memo Ramirez, Maddy Hubbard, Selena Ibarra-Feugate, Emily Mercer, Trevor Darling, and Madison Mitchell.

The honorees in math were Mahala Mayse, Elizabeth Pruett, Kenzie Mastin, Trenton Shrout, Lily Feece, Presley Feeback, Olivia Gurrola, Hazel Avery, Gavin Shockley, Hunter Dubray, Kooper Baker, Austin Knight, Domentes Brandes, Jackson Alvarez, Chloe Herrell, Michelle Brown, and Brayden Johnson.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club recognizes McEowen students with the Service Above Self Award.  Kayden Cates was the November recipient.

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  School nurse Jace Hillbrant was honored as the November recipient.

 

September

The September Students of the Month were Walker Keim, Alyssa Hughes, Brylee Jackson, and Austin Hurt.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  September’s trait was “thoughtful” and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Gabby Vaughn, Kaylyn Davis, Isaac Moore, Bruce Mayo, Jolie Lightcap, Amy Tabora-Diaz, Julianna Blowers, Lanie Martin, Kierston Wilson, Mia Jackson, Lily Speir, Jacob Leek, Aiden Wray, Ben Mahurin, Reagan Smith, and Joseph Miller.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those September honorees for math were Jake Hernandez, Brecken Sullivan, Alexie Ayers, Shiolah O'Neal, Chasity Black, Ryder Schenker, Austin Eng, Beau Huebner, Kelly Warren, McKenzie Ruth, Caden Banks, Ethan Copeland, Paul Gilbert, Elizabeth Gillespie, and Nickolas Kirkemo.

The writing honorees were Ava Kelley, Shelby Anderson, Penelope Morgan, Arianah Lanier, Dyllan Hembree, Morgan Burger, Charlee Wylde, Isaac Fernandez, Chloe Collins, Kali Stout, Zoe Bascue, Jocelyn Courter, Madison Tye, Molly Melzer, and Emma Jones.

The October Students of the Month were Cadence Griffin, Byron Smith, Eden Thayer, and Adam Shumway.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  October’s trait was “enthusiastic” and those students receiving the Terrific Kids Award from the Harrisonville Kiwanis Club were Lexi Quinley, Corbin Ryberg, Addison Smith, Megan Lalman, Travis Dickey, Hayden Cave, Noah Covey, Lyniah Johnson, Mary Arthur, Tucker Snook, Adelynn Comegys, Lyra Johnson, Ryland Wolfe, Alex Harrison, Maddie Eggers, and Delaney Cooper.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those October honorees for math were Naveah Greife, Danica Ritter, Seth Estes, Elijah Jones, Levi Vanover, Alivia Bullock, Alden Davis, Bryson Cecil, Cole Purtle, Carson Harrison, McKenzie Ruth, Brody McNeal, Braydon Kanenbley, Gatlin Osterberg, Jayln Polk, and Maddox Johnston.

Those recognized for writing were Keaton Dale, Justin  Skiles, Anna Livengood, Torie McClanahan, Miguel Gonzalez, Angela Derner, Kenadie Percival, Cory Robling, Brezlyn Jones, Amy Tabora - Diaz, Jacob Bellamy, Sophia Branham, Olivia Wolfe, Caleb Spurgeon, Elizabeth Gillespie, and Vanessa West.
