Congratulations to our monthly Positive Action Assembly Winners!

November
McEowen Elementary students were recently honored at a monthly assembly on Monday, November 27.  The school hosts a monthly Positive Action Assembly to recognize student accomplishments.  

To begin the assembly, students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and Roberto Chavez played the National Anthem on the recorder.

The November Students of the Month were Zaylee Lindsey, Billy King, Haley Bagby, and Marc Derner.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  October’s trait was self control and those students receiving the McBest Award were Emma Osborn, Isabelle Shelton, Laci McCammon, Conner Graves, Raegan Smith, CJ Copeland, Brigham May, Jessica Patrick, Morgan Cameron, Lilly Feece, Anna Livengood, Anna Rhoney, Evelynn Freelan, Penelope Morgan, and Guillermo Ramirez.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those November honorees for math were Isabell Roepke, Masen Enyeart, Trenton Gould, Pablo Cortez-Garcia, Brady White, Angel Taylor-Burnside, Sebastian Howell, Lance Giesbrecht, Saleah Malone; and Cheyenne Jones, Cole Wood, Chasity Black, Emily Mercer, Joseph Bailey, and Thomas Mosley.

The writing honorees were Ileynia Beard, Gabe Hunter, Kelsey Vergoven, Jenna Everhart, Lily Wilson, Gavon Thompson, Bennett Sturgeon, Chelsey Shade, Ava Little, Jayda Evans, Abbey Coffey, Danica Ritter, Megan Lalman, Michael Wilson, Garrett Parris, and Logan Graham.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club recognizes one student each month with the Service Above Self award.  The November recipient was Ben Wooten.

 McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Fifth grade teacher Jacob VanSlyke was honored as the November recipient.

The October Students of the Month were Justin Skiles, Elizabeth Pruett, Haley Wood, and Cooper Appleman.  Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored.  September’s trait was Respect and those students receiving the McBest Award were Alyssa Hughes, Jayden Hetrick, Roberto Chavez, Jacki Bundt, Scarlett Tracy, Alexis Scott, Phillip Moll, Justin Pieratt, Zaylee Lindsey, Mia Jackson, Bailey Reynolds, Addison Smith, Dyllan Hembree, and Ethan Probasco.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those October honorees in writing were Seth Burrough, Mackenzie Covey, Toni Jones, Lexi McCullough, Adyson Eng, Case Sage, Shiloh Barnes, Kady Heinerikson, Cooper Elifrits, Taylor Jennings, Steven Zumalt, Keller Johnson, Sarah Torres, Emily Evans, and Kenzie Wimsatt.

The October math winners were  Devlin Lyn, Brecklin Sullivan, Ashlee Nelson, Eli Baker, Cole Purtle, Tanner Schick, Addison Kelley, Jacob Webb, TJ Wiggs, Gabby Vaughn, Ethan Stone, Ayden Cunningham, Elijah Jones, Brenten Beaver, Bailey Sanders, and Haylie Forrest.

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Fifth grade teacher Marla Brown was honored as the October recipient.

Also at the assembly the Red Ribbon Week poster contest winners were recognized.  They were fifth graders Luke Devenny, first; Diego Diaz - Suarez, second; and Roberto Chavez, third; and fourth graders Keller Johnson, first; Alexis Quinley, second; and Eden Thayer, third.

The Harrisonville PTO also recognized the top salesperson in the annual trash bag sales from McEowen.  Bryson Cecil received a medal.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly.  Those September honorees in math were Adrianna Yelton, Anthony Coffelt, Addi Billings, Audry Coffey, Case Sage, Logan Graham, Briah Bales, Carter Roberts, Gavin Valentich, Skylar Pelsor, Brayden Johnson, Shelbie Anderson, Megan Lalman, Xavier Cunningham, Austin Eng, and Krystian Wyrick.

The honorees for writing were Emma Osborn, Elizabeth Cronk, Hailey Bagby, Jackson Shrout, Lily Jacobs, Aubrey Jones, Jaxon Hyatt, Allison Dawson, Steven Overbay, Eden Thayer, Amy Tobara-Diaz, Ryder Schenker, Charlee Wylde, Trevor Darling, and Conner Peeples.
