4 Children 2 Ensure Bright Futures

4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity each month to make a difference in their school, community, and world. 

September-April students will be given a checklist of tasks relating to giving their time, talent, or treasure to help others. They will need to make sure to show their teacher before donating items. After all checkboxes are complete, they will answer the question about how they feel they made a difference during the month.  The teacher can sign off before the end of the month. The paper will go to the office by the date listed at the bottom of the checklist. 

Participation is optional, but we hope to see many kids accept the challenge.  Students who complete the checklist for the month could be asked to help with other service activities around the school and community (as the #My42 Kids’ Club has done in the past). Students who complete every month’s checklist will be invited to a special celebration at the end of the year. Students who even complete just one month will be recognized at the end of year assembly.
