Kindergarten Enrollment
Welcome to our Kindergarten Enrollment Website!
Harrisonville Elementary School (HES) kindergarten enrollment for 2026-27 is underway. The kindergarten program is open to all students who will turn five by July 31 and who live in the Harrisonville School District. Kindergarten is a full-day program at HES.
Families with an incoming kindergarten student can sign up for a kindergarten screening/enrollment appointment starting March 23, 2026.
The screenings will take about 45 minutes and will be held on April 27 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and April 28 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Harrisonville Elementary School, 101 Meghan Drive.
At the appointment, students will participate in a screening and parents will complete online enrollment. To complete the process, a state-issued birth certificate and an updated copy of immunizations will be required.
Students currently enrolled in the 4-year-old preschool program at the Early Childhood Center do not need to complete the kindergarten screening or enrollment process. This process is only required for students who are enrolling in Harrisonville Schools for the first time as kindergartners.
All incoming kindergarten students can also attend summer school which will run May 20-June 16 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily. Kindergarten students will attend summer school at Harrisonville Early Childhood Center (location subject to change based on enrollment).
Families with questions about kindergarten can call Harrisonville Elementary School at (816) 380-4131.
