Welcome to Harrisonville Early Childhood Center
Harrisonville Early Childhood Center is home to the district's preschool, early childhood special education, and Parents As Teachers programs. Preschool is an all-day program for children who are three or four years old by Aug. 1. Children who are three or four by Aug. 1 may enroll in the Preschool program which runs five full days per week.
The district's early childhood special education program and Parents As Teachers Program are also based at this school.
Parents As Teachers is a is a free program provided by the Harrisonville School District for parents of children ages birth to five. PAT offers parents a variety of resources including home/school visits with certified parent educators, developmental screenings, play groups, and many special events. PAT offers play group every other Monday when school is in session at 9:30 a.m. Children can play, do crafts, and socialize with other children. PAT helps parents become involved in their child’s education from the beginning. It also offers children the opportunity to interact with other children their age and have lots of fun at the same time. For more information about the Parents As Teacher program, call 380-4421.
