Jones, Claxton named Boy/Girl of the Year; DeVenney earns Honor Graduate

Harrisonville High School presented diplomas to seniors at commencement exercises on Friday, May 9. The Class of 2025 graduation included the Pledge of Allegiance led by Class President Hailey Bagby, and National Anthem as well as student address by Simon Claxton.
During the ceremony, Principal Mark Rorvig recognized those students who completed high school with a GPA over 4.0. From those students, he announced that Lucas DeVenney had earned the distinction of Honor Graduate.
Also, during the ceremony, the HHS Boy and Girl of the Year were named. Each month, the HHS staff selected one boy and one girl as Students of the Month. From that group, the faculty selected Simon Claxton and Aron Jones as 2025 Boy and Girl of the Year.
