CCC Awards Night 2024

Cass Career Center students received numerous honors during the Senior Excellence Ceremony, which took place on the evening of May 1.  Students from ten sending school districts received awards.

Each program at Cass Career Center recognized an Outstanding Senior. Those recognized were Harrisonville senior Dayton Hoffman, Agriculture; Lee’s Summit North senior Jackson Cihacek, Automotive Technology; Midway senior Collin Bridgers, Construction Technology; Raymore-Peculiar senior Ellie Parsons, Criminal Justice/CSI; Lee’s Summit High senior Tyler Tindall, EMT; Pleasant Hill senior Delanee Gilsdorf, Fire Science; Raymore-Peculiar senior Kendall Johnson, Health Services; Harrisonville senior McKenzie Meeks, Advanced Health Services; Harrisonville senior Slade Holden, Marketing; Harrisonville senior Emma Schrock, Teaching Professions; and Harrisonville senior Toby Johnson, Welding Technology.

One student from each of the sending schools was honored as an Outstanding Sending School Senior. The recipients of these awards were Adrian, Taylor Good, Advanced Health Services; Archie Andrew Hagerman, Advanced Health Services; Belton, Isabella Andrew, Advanced Health Services; Drexel, Rylee Richmond, EMT; Harrisonville, Kaden Turner, CJ/CSI; Lee’s Summit, Grace Lucas, Fire Science; Lone Jack, Jason Pilcher, CJ/CSI; Midway, Noah Whitcraft, CJ/CSI; Pleasant Hill, Delanee Gilsdorf, Fire Science; and Raymore-Peculiar, Maddison Taylor, Advanced Health Services. 

Three students were recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for the Breaking Traditions Awards. These awards recognize students pursuing a career field where individuals of one gender comprise less than 25% of the individuals employed in that field. The honorable mention recipients were Raymore-Peculiar senior Kinley Chapman, Welding Technology, and Pleasant Hill senior Delanee Gilsdorf, Fire Science.  Receiving the 2024 Regional Winner Award is Archie senior Andrew Hagerman, Advanced Health Services. 

Twelve students were also recognized for qualifying to compete at the national level in their Career and Technical Student Organization. In DECA, Harrisonville students Preston Baker, Audrey Coffey, Luke DeVenney, Miranda Fisher, Ruby Rhode-Allen, and Charlee Wylde; in Educators Rising, Harrisonville students Emma Coffey, Jaeda Hasam, Aron Leach, and Emma Schrock; and in SkillsUSA, Harrisonville students Weston Coppedge and Harley Weis. 

Ten seniors were recognized for earning the inaugural Student Involvement Award which honors the outstanding contributions and dedication of students who have demonstrated exceptional involvement and leadership within our school community and beyond. From Harrisonville, Audrie Brown, Advanced Health Services, Carsyn Breiner, Health Services, McKenzie Meeks, Advanced Health Services, Josh Millard, Automotive Technology, Kirstin Talley, Marketing, Kaden Turner, CJ/CSI, and Ryley Wood, Agriculture; from Lee’s Summit High, Lily McDevitt, Fire Science; from Pleasant Hill, Delanee Gilsdorf, Fire Science, and from Raymore-Peculiar, Ellie Parsons, CJ/CSI. 

Several scholarships were announced during the senior awards ceremony.  Recipients included Midway senior Audrey Gordon and Harrisonville senior Kirstin Talley, Building Success scholarship; Harrisonville senior Emma Schrock, Harrisonville Community Teachers’ Association and Missouri State Teacher Association scholarship; Midway senior Audrey Gordon, Wendell Yeager Rotary Club scholarship; Harrisonville senior Danika Knight, The John and Wanda Foster Healthcare Professional Scholarship in honor of Renee Endicott; Harrisonville senior Dayton Hoffman, the Bayer-Grow-AG Leaders (National FFA) Scholarship; Harrisonville seniors Preston Baker, Dayton Hoffman, and Case Melzer and Midway senior Audrey Gordon, Jerry Tabb Memorial Scholarship; Harrisonville senior Kaden Turner, the Marler-Wirt-Sumner scholarship; Pleasant Hill senior Delanee Gilsdorf, Harrisonville senior John Mann, and Raymore-Peculiar seniors Kinley Chapman and Gunnar Poland, Jared Fizer Memorial scholarship; and Adrian seniors Dalton Robards and Keagan Wisdom and Raymore-Peculiar seniors Kinley Chapman and Gunnar Poland, the Logan Meerkatz and Clay Palmer Memorial Scholarship. 

Finally, the Cass Career Center Achievement scholarships were awarded to four deserving seniors who are actively involved in their CCC program, placed a strong emphasis on leadership, grades, and attendance, articulated the impact CCC has had on their life, and plan to continue their education and/or training in their respective field of study. Harrisonville senior Preston Baker, Agriculture & Marketing, received a $250 scholarship, Raymore-Peculiar senior Bryanna Planker, Advanced Health Services, received a $500 scholarship, Harrisonville senior Audrie Brown, Advanced Health Services and Agriculture, received a $750 scholarship, and Pleasant Hill senior Delanee Gilsdorf, Fire Science, received a $1000 scholarship as well as the Joel Matthews Memorial Scholarship for $200.
