Paper Online Academic Support
Harrisonville Schools partners with a service called Paper to provide unlimited access to trained tutors so every student in grades 3-12 can ask questions, work through problems, and grow their confidence—at no cost to families whenever they need academic help.
Paper is an online, on-demand tutoring service that provides students with free unlimited, 24/7 academic support. Paper provides:
- 1:1 live-chat tutoring sessions with subject-matter experts in over 200 subjects and four different languages.
- Expert review on any written work (essays, creative writing, poetry, lab reports, etc.).
- Hundreds of resources and activities to help you best support your student(s) at home.
- Interactive shows and activities to expand learning beyond the classroom.
- And so much more!
Paper Tutors
Paper tutors have been specially trained to conduct expert, academic support in a secure, chat-based platform. With a commitment to helping students learn, they’ll never give students answers, but rather facilitate deeper learning by asking guiding questions and providing timely encouragement.
You can access Paper in several ways:
-
Go to https://paper.co/ - students will log in using their school email account information.
-
You can download the Paper app (search Paper Education: K-12 Tutoring) to your mobile device.
-
Paper is also available as an icon in the district app and through the district website under Quick Links.
Students & teachers began using Paper within our classrooms in December. They’ve submitted essays for review, had students access live tutors for math problems, and encouraged students to access PAPER during independent work time.
The safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. Paper integrates with our existing security and privacy practices. Paper operates under strict adherence to federal and state-specific student data privacy laws. All tutor-student communication is chat-based to provide 100% visibility into all student activity to school administrators, teachers, and parents or guardians.
