Parent Information Night

    This is not a required event as all the information you need to be ready for enrollment is on this website.  However if you have questions or have difficulty accessing any of these materials, we invite you to attend.
     
    Students are not required to attend this meeting.  Parents will be able to view the ECC informational videos, pick up an enrollment packet, ask questions, and sign up for a screening appointment.   

Enrollment Requirements

  • Children must be five years of age before August 1, 2017 and must live in the Cass R-IX school district
    Certified copy of the child’s state issued birth certificate
    Current immunization records (see additional info below)
    Proof of residency such as a current utility bill will be required in August

     

    IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
    The State Immunization Requirements to attend kindergarten are listed below. Your student will need to be compliant with state regulations and have their immunization record on file in the ECC office before being allowed to attend class next year. Please bring any updated immunization records you have to your Kindergarten Round-Up appointment. 
     
    If your child still needs to get Kindergarten shots, please make an appointment with your physician or the Health Department (380-8431) as soon as possible as kindergarten shots can be given as early as 4 years old.

    Missouri School Immunization Requirements for Kindergarten Attendance:
    4+ doses DTap Rule: last dose on or after 4th birthday (Max needed= 6 doses)
    3+ doses Polio Rule: last dose on or after 4th birthday and interval between last and next to last doses must be at least 6 months.
    3+ doses Hep B Rule: last dose on or after 24 weeks (6 months) old.
    2 doses MMR Rule: 1st dose must be on or after 1st birthday
    2 doses VAR Rule: 1st dose must be on or after 1st birthday. Exception: If your child has had the chicken pox, a physician’s signed note indicating month and year student had the disease is acceptable. 

Screening & Enrollment Procedures

  • Park in the north parking lot. Enter through the north doors which are on the upper level of the building.

    Plan on being here at least 45 minutes for the screening and enrollment process.

    Your child will go with a screener while you complete enrollment information. He/she will do the Brigance Screening that covers personal data, color recognition, picture vocabulary, visual discrimination, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, rote counting, body awareness, following directions, and number comprehension. Your child will also have a hearing, speech, language and vision screening. The screener and/or Mrs. Campbell will do an exit conference with you to share the results.
