Types of Aid
By completing the FAFSA, Cass Career Center will be able to determine if you are eligible to receive federal/state loans and/or grants.
Federal Loan Programs
- Federal Direct Loan - Subsidized
Based on financial need. Interest does not accrue as long as you are enrolled at least half time. - Federal Direct Loan - Unsubsidized
Not based on need. Interest accrues once the funds are drawn down. - Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan
Offered to a qualified parent of a dependent student with financial aid eligibility.
Federal/State Grant Programs
- Federal Pell Grant
Based on financial need. Awarded to eligible students. - Access MO State Grant (Missouri Department of Higher Education)
Based on financial need. Awarded to eligible students. - Missouri Fast Track Workforce Incentive State Grant
Based on financial need. Awarded to eligible students. - Missouri A+ Scholarship Program
Not need based. Funds are awarded to eligible students. Deadline to apply: February 1 - Vocational Rehabilitation
