Community

Pride in academics and pride in our Wildcats creates a community-wide, intergenerational involvement in our schools. From sporting events to band concerts to plays, programs, and awards assemblies, our community embraces our youth and supports our schools. This support is consistently cited as one of the top reasons to be a Wildcat. We work together with our community to ensure every student can have opportunities to shine and succeed and families can thrive within our community.

  • Our Art in the Community Program features artwork from students in grades K-12 here on our website and on display in our community on a monthly basis.

  • We host areas on our website to help our families with resources and events within our community.

  • Cass Career Center offers fall and spring community education courses.

  • Bright Futures Harrisonville strives to help students achieve success by matching student needs with resources through partnerships between the schools and the community. Partners are asked to share their "time, talent, and treasure" to help children. Those partnership areas include business, faith-based, parents & volunteers, social/human services, and our schools.

  • The Harrisonville Public School Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and enhance all educational programs and activities of Harrisonville Schools by providing a tax-exempt organization which serves as recipient and protector of all donations.

Our staff and students value our community’s support and therefore, put an emphasis on giving back to the community. Our senior class participates in a Day of Service; our entire district donates food to the local pantry during an annual food drive; and classroom and building level projects help show our students the benefits of community service.
