Harrisonville Elementary School students now have a new space to help them succeed in school thanks to a grant from the Variety Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City. HES special education teacher Sara Doherty saw the need for a Sensory Room at the school and submitted a grant.

Harrisonville Elementary School focus facilitator Ryan Schliem who was recognized as the August Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Blue KC Sporting Samaritan during pre-game festivities at the Sporting Kansas City game on Saturday night. He was presented the award by former Sporting KC player, Matt Besler.

Homecoming 2024 is set for Friday, September 27. The day will include the parade, coronation ceremony during pre-game, and Wildcat football vs. Cassville.

Harrisonville Schools staff members kicked off the 2024-25 school year with recognition of staff accomplishments, Superintendent Josh Chastain sharing his vision for the year, and a few laughs during the district’s opening meeting on Friday, Aug. 16.

Harrisonville Schools 2024 Educator of the Year Jason Dieckhoff has been named a Missouri Regional Teacher of the Year. Dieckhoff is one of six regional finalists in the Kansas City region.
