What is the Royal Guard Band Boosters?
Posted by:We are a group of parents, family, friends that help support our band program. The band would not be as successful without the help and support of the RGBB. The parents provide assistance at every event serving food, moving props, preparing for competitions, helping with uniforms, loading and unloading equipment.
The activities of the band boosters include:
1. Attending meetings one a month on the first Monday of the month (7pm in the band room). This meeting allows parents to provide input into activities, as well as learn what the kids and the band sponsors/instructors are doing.
2. Attending Friday night football games to help load and unload equipment, move props to the field, and help with uniforms.
3. Attending Thursday night practices to help learn the jobs to make the field show successful and learn different roles for assisting. (5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Memorial Stadium Football Field)
4. Attending competitions to help with equipment, serving food, uniforms, props, and other duties, as needed on various Saturdays. (See Calendar)
At any given performance, the help/assistance of parents is crucial to the success of the show. This is an opportunity to see what the kids are doing as well as get to know the members of the band and the directors.

Do I have to go to the meetings to be able to help with other stuff?
Posted by:We only suggest you come to the meetings to know what's going on and to help make decisions but you DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND MEETINGS in order to help with marching band or fundraisers.
