    Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Harrisonville School District, in partnership with parents and community, is to ensure that ALL students are college and career ready when they graduate from our district. This begins at the preschool level and runs throughout the students' educational experience. All that we do and all decisions made should be based on this premise. All goals, objectives and decisions will be based on this purpose. Our students deserve and we should demand nothing less.

  • Two candidates file for Board

Two candidates have filed for two positions on the Harrisonville Schools Board of Education - Tina Graef and Brittney Sexton. Graef is an incumbent and currently serves as Board president. Under the provisions of Missouri Statute Section 115.124, if the number of candidates who file is the same as the number of positions to be filled by the election (two), there will be no election. Since this is the case, at the April reorganizational meeting of the Board of Education, the district will swear in these candidates. Graef and Sexton will each serve three-year terms. Outgoing board member Gina Smith will be recognized during the reorganization meeting as well.
