• Fall 2023 Harrisonville Schools GEER II - Parent Reimbursement Form (CTE only)

    The Harrisonville School District has been given limited funds from the State of Missouri to reimburse individuals for expenses incurred as Career and Technical Education students of Cass Career Center. These funds became available in the wake of the COVID pandemic to help offset the cost of CTE. Under this program and its adjusted guidelines, the district may reimburse parents, guardians, or students for the following costs associated with CTE:

    • Industry Recognized Credentials & Stackable Credentials
      • Examples: OSHA 10, Basic Life Support
    • Dual credit earned (successfully completed) from a CTE class
      • Note: Applies to credits earned before the 23-24 school year
    • Equipment and clothing purchased by the parent/guardian or student required for the student’s CTE training. Examples include (but are not limited to):
      • Uniforms, career-specific clothing, official CTSO-required clothing
      • Industry-specific equipment/tools and Personal Protective Equipment 
        • Here are a few examples:
          • Construction – tool pouch/bag, tool belt, tools, hand-held power tools
          • Automotive - required footwear, equipment, and tools
          • Welding – PPE auto-darkening helmets, leather capes, sleeves, gloves, boots
          • Health Services – stethoscope, scrubs, program shirt, workbooks

    The district may reimburse any eligible cost incurred between March 13, 2020, and September 13, 2023.

    The original itemized receipt must be provided to obtain a refund. Reimbursements will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis for all allowable items with itemized receipts.

    Reimbursement considerations must be submitted NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2023. Submissions will be accepted until funds are depleted or the grant eligibility timeline expires. Checks will be mailed to the parents/guardians/student at the address provided in the form.
