Principal's Welcome

Dear Parents:

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year! I hope that everyone had a fantastic summer break and that you were able to spend time together as a family. As we start another wonderful school year, I invite you to become actively involved in your child's education and to consider volunteering your time by joining our Academic Booster Club.

Harrisonville High School offers a challenging and quality educational program for our students. We celebrate and learn from each other by embracing the idea that we are a school where our children demonstrate their Wildcat pride through positive actions, determination, good choices, and a willingness to help others.

The HHS staff has worked many hours this summer preparing for the start of the school year and we are anxious to work with your children. We hope that your children have had an exciting start of the 2007-2008 school year. We remind parents to contact us at anytime if you have questions, concerns or ideas. The home and school connection is vital to the success of all children and we value parental input and assistance. By working together, we can truly make a lasting and positive impact on the education of all our children.

We ask for your support during the school year and ask that you become involved in your child's school learning by attending curriculum or college preparedness meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school functions. Your input will help us reach our goal of all children achieving academic growth as measured by standardized assessments. You will be hearing and learning more this year about data and how your child is succeeding at curriculum standards and goals. We look forward to providing the best education possible for your child, and doing so in a caring and stimulating learning environment.

On behalf of the staff at Harrisonville High School, we look forward to working with you to provide your child with a quality learning experience and positive school year!

Sincerely,

Timothy Quinn
Principal
