HES Assembly

Harrisonville Elementary School students were honored at an assembly on the final day of school. The school hosts monthly assemblies to recognize student accomplishments.

Third grader Austin Campbell received the Service Above Self Award from the Harrisonville Rotary Club. Each month, the Rotary Club will recognize one student at HES for their work in helping others.

Students who exhibit the character trait of the month are named Wildcats of the Month. In May, students talked about moral courage. Those honored as Wildcats of the Month were first graders Mandi Bundt and Peyton Holden, second graders Griselda Rodriguez and Brody Pope , and third graders Anastasia Levsen and Dakota Carpenter . The honored students received a certificate and a t-shirt from the Harrisonville Optimist Club.

The school also honors a staff member as Wildcat of the Month and May's recipient was focus facilitator Erin McGhee. McGhee received a gift certificate from Applebee's.

Students were also honored for earning perfect attendance for the 2007-08 school year. Those honorees were Destini Blair, Zachariah Brock, Dalton Feugate, Cody Carwile, Jordan Moreland, George Hess, Brooklyn Gaddie, and Sophia Brauer.
