Welcome to McEowen Elementary School
Our Mission: Adult learners working together to increase individual student achievement in a supportive environment.
We are so excited for this school year! McEowen has an awesome, caring staff that works hard to ensure that your family will have a great school year. You are welcome to come up to school to see for yourself what a wonderful building we have.
We are home to fourth and fifth grade students. McEowen is also home to the Rockford Living History Classroom, a completely restored one-room classroom. This project was funded by community donations and is open to fourth graders throughout the county.
We are working on several learning initiatives this year. We will be using both the Writer's Workshop and Reader's Workshop approaches this year. Also, we will continue to infuse technology into our daily instruction. Ask your child what they are doing in these areas.
