Welcome to Harrisonville Cass R-IX School District’s activity/athletic program.

Hopefully, your decision to take advantage of our extracurricular and co-curricular program will be educational, rewarding, and challenging. The Harrisonville Cass R-IX School District encourages you to take advantage of as many programs as your time and talent will permit.

WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE SPECIALIZATION IN ONE SPORT:
RATHER, WE WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO EXPERIENCE A VARIETY OF SPORTS,
AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.

Naturally, due to conflicts in seasons, practice times, schedules, etc., some choices will have to be made by you.
Good luck to you as you strive to grow emotionally, mentally, socially and physically through activities/athletics.

All athletes are required by MSHSAA (Missouri State High School Activities Association) to carry and pass 2.5 credit hours a semester, to have an up-to-date physical, personal insurance coverage, and written parent permission on file in the Activities Department at the High School in order to participate in any sport.

The school hosts a once a year physical night at the High School.
Area Doctors are present and will give sports physicals for a donation of $5.00.
For the 2010-11 school year, physical night was held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.
For the 2011-12 school year, physical night will be scheduled in spring 2011.

An athletic physical dated after February 1, 2010 is required to cover the 2010-11 school year for all sports/seasons.

Physicals dated after February 1, 2010 will cover the entire 2010-11 school year for all sports/seasons.

Physical forms are available in the main office at the Middle School, as well as at the High School.   The form needs to be completed in its entirety and returned to the Activities Department in the High School. Incomplete physical forms will be returned. This form requests insurance information, as well as student and parent signatures. This information is a requirement of MSHSAA.All required MSHSAA information must be on file in the Athletic Deparment before athletes will be allowed to participate.
