Financial Aid Code of Conduct The Cass Career Center financial aid office has a strict code of conduct prohibiting conflicts of interest with respect to loans and other types of funding. Defined duties of employees and administrators involved in financial aid coordination allow for a system of checks and balances that prevent conflicts of interest with regard to loan and grant processing. For more information on our financial aid code of conduct, please see our financial aid handbook which is updated and published annually.
FAFSA All students attending our practical nursing program are required to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) regardless of whether they intend to accept a financial aid package. This step enables our institution to meet a federal requirement for schools with Title IV funding. To complete the FAFSA, please go to www.fafsa.gov . There is NO cost to complete this application. If you are at a site that requires a form of payment, you are not at the correct site. Other documents necessary to complete financial aid processing are a current driver's license or state ID, an original social security card, and a GED or high school diploma. The CCC does have a policy to determine if a high school is valid and will contact the department of education if the validity of a high school is in question. Applications for admission are due on March 31st; however, in an effort to meet state dealines for additional possible funding for financial aid, please make sure this FAFSA is completed and submitted by March 31st. Cost of Attendance For the 2012-2013 school year, the total cost ($12,273) of our Practical Nursing program can be broken down as follows: Tuition $10,109 Fees $ 727 Books/Supplies $ 1,437 Additional financial aid above the direct cost of the program may be requested by qualified students to cover room & board, transportation, and other personal expenses associated with the cost of attending a post-secondary program.
