Excellence in Academics Program
The Excellence in Academics program annually recognizes students who complete the school year in the top 15% of their class at Harrisonville High School.

Recognition
Seniors completing the year in the top 15% of the class are recognized at the Senior Excellence in Academics Ceremony on their final day of class at Harrisonville High School. The all-school assembly begins at 8 a.m.

Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who complete the year in the top 15% of their class are honored at an assembly during the first week of school in August.

Encouraging Excellence in Academics
Scholarships
Seniors who earn the Excellence in Academics recognition all four years of high school receive a $500 scholarship from the Foundation.

College Visits
Second- and third-year recipients are eligible to participate in a one-day college visit in the fall sponsored by the Foundation.  The students have the opportunity to pick from two colleges/universities.  The trip includes a tour of the campus, a presentation from an admissions representative, and lunch.

E-Mentoring
First-year recipients are eligible for an e-mail mentoring program which pairs them up with an alumnae or community member in their anticipated career field.
